The docks

The docks are where Aurora Hills began and where drifting lives now. They were once a sprawling economy of their own, with fish markets that drew a large population and the road network that still carries the city’s traffic.

What’s there

Stacks of shipping containers, steel structures, a rusting docked ship, and the old roads that once moved imports and exports.

Who’s there

Fishermen cast off the edge by day. The area isn’t fenced or private, and police rarely patrol it, especially at night.

Why TEF chose it

Businesses don’t want their lots filled by drivers who aren’t customers, and “takeover” crews spoil lot meets with burnouts and drifting. TEF looks down on takeovers and moved to the docks.

To TEF it is the safest place to drift outside a track. The barriers are steel and containers, so when accidents happen the risk falls on the driver, not an owner who left long ago. Their regular presence also keeps OTP from using the docks for worse things.
