Your first day
Chapter 0 walks a new player from waking up in a rented apartment to their first drag race. It doubles as the tutorial. This page is spoiler-light: it tells you where you are going, not what anyone says.
The steps

You don’t have to do these in order. If you work a job before visiting the garage, the matching text simply arrives when its step is done. After mission 2, nothing blocks free play.
Tips
- Press Tab to open your phone. Pops texts you the next step, so check Messages when you’re not sure what to do.
- Wait for green at the drag strip. Leaving early is a red light and you lose, however fast your car is. See Racing.
- Your starter grant includes starter coins, lottery tokens and one free junkyard pass. See Junkyard.
- Your chosen name must be unique.

Once Chapter 0 is done you meet both of the city’s crews: The Elite Few and Own The Pavement. Neither will let you join, but both are watching.
