Zeroyon drag strip

The local 400 m strip, where the locals run on Friday nights. It is the starter race and the finale of Chapter 0.

The start: pre-stage, stage, three ambers, then green. Launch on green with Space or left mouse.

Who wins: the lowest reaction time + ET wins. Leaving before green is a red light and an automatic loss. Ties go to you.

Rewards:

ResultPay
Quick match win150 coins, 20 XP
Loss25% of the win pay
First time beating a ladder rivalOne-time bonus, about 5× a normal win

A run costs 10 fuel. Your reaction is measured on your machine. Quick match pairs you with a car within ±0.4 s of yours.

Rivals: Jun “Jumpstart” Park is rival 1. Others on the ladder are Sora Hasegawa, Ren Aoyama, Goro Kobayashi and Kaito Shimada. Each rival has a driving style; Jun jumps the start about one run in five.

Chibi GP

An idle ladder you run from the phone.

  • It ticks about every 10 seconds, costs no fuel and pays nothing per tick. Ticks move you up the ladder and can earn Podium Points when you reach a new ceiling.
  • Every 5 minutes it pays coins and XP, scaled by your level. Climbing pays 100%, repeating a level pays 10% and being offline pays 5% (up to 8 hours).
  • Every 10th level is a boss. Losing to a boss sends you back to the start of that bracket; you can challenge the boss again directly.
  • Opponents scale with ladder level, not with your car’s power.
  • Idle races don’t count toward “first race” or daily race challenges, except climbing five new levels.

Ranked

Instant server-resolved duels against players in your class. Uses a duel rating. Unlocks at level 5.

Street

AI opponents scaled into your class, and a police chase minigame (the same one the crime jobs use). Unlocks at level 10. See Crime and heat.

Coming later

Named AI opponents from the crews, boss encounters (Sweets and Panda; Flauntive and the OTP pack), launch revs and manual shifting, weather.
